かいつけ【買い付け】

1 〔いつもそこで買うこと〕

●買いつけの店 a shop one usually uses; a shop where one usually does one's shopping [is a regular customer]; one's usual [regular] supplier

・買いつけの本屋 one's (regular, usual) bookseller; the bookstore one usually uses

・買いつけの銘柄の酒 one's favorite brand of sake.

2 〔買い入れること〕 (a) (wholesale) purchase; buying in; laying in 《stock》.

●小麦[綿花]の買い付け a (wholesale) purchase of flour [cotton].

●羊毛の買い付けにオーストラリアに行く go to Australia to make a purchase of wool

・建設業者は一斉にセメントの買い付けに走った. Builders rushed [made frantic efforts] to buy in stocks of cement.

公開買い付け 【株式】 《launch》 a takeover bid 《against…》 (略: TOB).
